Making sure every child goes to the right future school, academically and pastorally, is a vital part of what we do. Regular meetings are held with parents to discuss this very important step of their child’s journey. About a third of our girls leaving in Year 6 will go to Tudor Hall, whilst the rest will go to a wide range of schools including King’s High, Northampton High, Headington, Oxford High, Wycombe Abbey, Bloxham, Stratford Grammar, Rugby and Oundle. At the age of 7 or 8, our boys leave us and go to a number of schools including Winchester House, Beachborough, Warwick Junior, The Croft, Summerfields and Cothill. Our track record is outstanding; boys and girls are consistently offered places at their first choice of future school, testament to the exceptional standard of teaching at Carrdus.
Our aim, with all that we do both in and out of the classroom, is to prepare every child spiritually, morally, socially and culturally for their future lives; ones that may well look very different from today. We want all our children to leave us intellectually well equipped, buzzing with confidence, excited for what lies ahead, keen to make the most of what life has to offer and with the courage to be themselves.
